iCAD has earned the CE Mark for its ProFound AI for 2D Mammography, which assists radiologists in detecting breast cancer through tissue analysis.

The system is a new addition to the company’s deep-learning ProFound AI platform. It uses  artificial intelligence to identify breast cancer from soft tissue densities and calcifications.

The technology analyzes each mammography image and offers insight on each individual case, highlighting areas of suspicion and assigning unique scores to help radiologists assign priorities.
