August 27, 2019

The White House highlighted the administration’s ongoing efforts to rein in illegal fentanyl trafficking and unveiled a series of advisories to help businesses identify “red flags.”

The advisories from the Office of National Drug Control Policy are aimed at making businesses more knowledgeable on four aspects of fentanyl trafficking: manufacturing, marketing, movement and financing.

The manufacturing advisory details characteristics that are unique to synthetic opioids to help companies identify the various stages of illegal fentanyl manufacturing and distribution, such as suspicious orders of known active ingredients for illicit fentanyl products.
