The FDA has reopened the submission period for its quality metrics feedback program, giving potential participants more time to sign up.

The voluntary program, which the agency announced in June 2018, is designed to improve the understanding of quality metrics programs in the agency and among drugmakers.

The agency proposes to use what it learns from the program to improve risk-based inspections, efficiency and effectiveness of establishment inspections, manufacturing and control operation evaluations, and the identification of drug shortages.
