Phillips-Medisize Wins Contract to Make First Electronic-Enabled Drug Delivery Device
Molex subsidiary Phillips-Medisize said it’s struck an agreement with an unnamed biotech company to manufacture an electronic-enabled, wearable combination product.
The company said that the disposable device combines two-day, single-use technology to delivery medicine subcutaneously. The product is about the size of a hockey puck and can be worn near the infusion site or attached to the patient’s body.
“We have experience in manufacturing both combination and electronic-enabled drug delivery devices, and this is our first product submitted for FDA approval that includes both,” said Matt Jennings, CEO and President of Phillips-Medisize.
