FDA Authorizes First Tests to Estimate COVID-19 Antibodies

The FDA has cleared the first two COVID-19 serology tests that estimate antibodies present in a patient’s blood. Both tests from Siemens, the ADVIA Centaur COV2G and Atellica IM COV2G, are “semi-quantitative” tests, meaning they don’t display a precise measurement, but estimate the quantity of a patient’s antibodies produced against COVID-19.
