Philips Announces $275 Million Acquisition of Intact Vascular
Philips has agreed to acquire Intact Vascular, an endovascular system company, for $275 million upfront, which will grant it access to the firm’s implantable peripheral artery disease (PAD) device.
Intact Vascular is developing Tack, a specialized implantable device designed to treat peripheral arterial dissections after balloon angioplasty in above-the-knee and below-the-knee interventions.
The system “leaves less metal behind when compared to stents, preserving future treatment options and limbs while also offering a solution for repairing dissections and optimizing postangioplasty outcomes,” Philips said.
