Micro Medical has announced that both its MicroStent, a 2.5mm vascular stent, and its MicroBalloon XL, a 120cm balloon catheter, have been granted CE mark certification.

The two devices are components of the company’s MMS Micro Vascular Integrated Platform, a system designed to improve blood flow to reduce below-the-knee amputations for peripheral artery disease patients.

The balloon catheter features a long guidewire that gives surgeons more options, while the MicroStent marks the smallest diameter for the brand yet, the company said.
