Cepheid has received CE mark certification for its Xpert Xpress SARS-CoV-2/flu/respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) rapid molecular diagnostic test.

The test uses a single patient sample to detect the viruses that cause COVID-19, influenza A/B and RSV infections, and delivers results in approximately 36 minutes.

The rapid four-in-one diagnostic is used on the company’s GeneXpert System. The system’s largest model can run up to 80 tests at a time and process approximately 2,000 tests daily, Cepheid said.
