Orthopedic devicemaker Tyber Medical has received 510(k) clearance from the FDA for its expanded line of anatomical plating systems.

The product line now includes more than 73 indication-specific fixation devices for the extremities, developed in collaboration with orthopedic and podiatric surgeons. The new clearance covers a wide variety of small bone, long bone and ankle fracture fusion plates.

The company’s ankle fracture/fusion system, for example, includes a variety of locking plate types for various fibula and tibia positions.
