Fujifilm’s Digital Mammography System Gets Health Canada Approval
Fujifilm Canada has received a medical device license from Health Canada for its Aspire Cristalle 3D mammography device.
The device, which uses a low-dose x-ray system to create three-dimensional images of the breasts, can help radiologists better visualize lesions that can be obscured between layers of breast tissue.
The Ontario-based subsidiary of the Japanese company said it is expanding its partnership with medical imaging equipment distributor Christie Innomed to offer the device throughout the country.
