Nonselective NSAIDs Slated for Further EMEA Scrutiny

In light of continuing concerns about the increased potential for heart attacks and strokes associated with long-term use of certain nonselective nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), the European Medicines Agencys (EMEA) Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use (CHMP) has undertaken a formal review of clinical and epidemiological studies of NSAIDs and plans to make recommendations on how to address those concerns.
