FDA APPROVES TAKEDA'S ACTOPLUS MET DIABETES DRUG
The FDA has approved Takeda Pharmaceutical's Actoplus Met, a drug for Type 2 diabetes. Takeda, Japan's largest drugmaker, will start selling the drug in the U.S. in October. Actoplus Met combines in a single tablet Takeda's widely used Actos diabetes treatment and another diabetes therapy called metformin.
