J&J Sued for Death Allegedly Related to Ortho Evra Patch

A lawsuit has been filed against Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceutical — a unit of Johnson & Johnson — on behalf of the estate of a woman who died after using the Ortho Evra birth control patch, according to lawyers who said the company knew of the increased risk of blood clots in patients using the product.
