Waxman, Schumer, Clinton Introduce Biogenerics Approval Path Bill

Rep. Henry Waxman (D-Calif.) and Sens. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) and Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) have introduced companion bills in the House and the Senate to establish a statutory process for approving generic versions of biologic drugs, which they said will enable competition in the biologics market and help lower the high cost of biologic products.
