Lawmakers Ask Industry to Publicly Oppose Settlement Payments

Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Rep. Henry Waxman (D-Calif.) sent letters to the heads of PhRMA and the Generic Pharmaceutical Association (GPhA) May 17 asking them to publicly condemn settlements where brand drugmakers pay generic rivals to delay generic entry into the market.
