PAN BOSS 'FAILED TO TELL OF DRUG RECALL'
Pan Pharmaceuticals head Jim Selim failed on four occasions to disclose to his
directors that one of its products had been recalled by the national medicines
watchdog, a court has heard. Selim is appearing at a committal hearing in Sydney's
Downing Centre Local Court on four charges of misleading the company's board
ahead of the biggest medicine recall in Australia's history. Prosecutor Peter
Hastings, QC, said that Selim Pan's former chief executive and managing
director knew the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) had raised serious
concerns in its correspondence after an audit of the travel sickness drug Travacalm.
