NEW BREAKTHROUGH INVENTION HOPES TO PAVE THE WAY TO INNOVATIVE NOVEL TREATMENTS FOR ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE
Samaritan Pharmaceuticals, a developer of innovative
drugs, recently announced that a manuscript describing its "Alzheimer's
Rat Model", a tool which enables researchers to create an Alzheimer's disease-like
profile in rats, and test new Alzheimer's drugs, will be published in the Journal
Pharmacology (2006, vol. 76, pages 19-33). A pre-publication print of the manuscript
entitled "Beta-Amyloid and Oxidative Stress Jointly Induce Neuronal Death,
Amyloid Deposits, Gliosis, and Memory Impairment in the Rat Brain" can
