CURIS, WYETH EXTEND NERVE DRUG PACT

Drug developer Curis Inc. said Monday that pharmaceutical company Wyeth will extend funding to continue developing a treatment for neurological disorders. Wyeth said it would extend its research term up by one year through Feb. 9, 2007, for small molecules called Hedgehog agonists that are crucial for the formation of nerves. The company exercised the option to extend under its agreement signed in 2004.
