Biotechnology company Amgen Inc. said Tuesday it will build a major manufacturing plant in Ireland to supply its growing European customer base. Several European countries competed for the Amgen investment won by Ireland, which has the fastest-growing economy in Europe and has specialized in attracting foreign pharmaceutical companies.
