CANADIAN HEMOPHILIA SOCIETY TO FOLLOW TAINTED BLOOD TRIALS
Representatives of the Canadian Hemophilia Society (CHS) will be present in
a Toronto courtroom this coming Monday, and in the coming weeks and months,
as the first criminal trial related to Canada's tainted blood scandal begins.
"It continues to be of the utmost importance that victims of this horrible
tragedy see that justice is done," said CHS President, Eric Stolte. "People
involved in keeping Canada's blood system safe must be aware that if they do
not do their job properly, not only will people become sick and die, but those
who are responsible will be held accountable."
