Acambis, Sanofi Pasteur to Collaborate on West Nile Vaccine

Acambis has signed an exclusive agreement with Sanofi Pasteur, the vaccines division of sanofi-aventis, for Acambis’ ChimeriVax-West Nile vaccine.

According to the agreement, Acambis will receive an upfront payment of $10 million and be eligible for pre- and postmarketing milestone payments of up to $70 million based on product approval and sales in the U.S. market.

Acambis said it will continue development activities, including the filing of a license application in the U.S.
