Gates Foundation Awards Research Grant to UM Medical School

The University of Maryland School of Medicine’s Center for Vaccine Development said Tuesday it won a $5.6 million grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to research the causes of diarrheal disease and identify the pathogens that cause the infections.
