Axcan Pharma to Be Acquired for $1.3 Billion

Axcan Pharma Inc., a leading pharmaceutical company focused on the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders, announced that it has entered into an agreement for Axcan to be acquired by TPG Capital and its affiliates in an all-cash transaction with a total value of approximately U.S. $1.3 billion.
