Agfa HealthCare Receives Authorization to Sell CR Mammography in Canada

Agfa HealthCare, a provider of IT-enabled clinical workflow and diagnostic imaging solutions, has received a Canadian Medical Device License to sell its Computed Radiography (CR) Mammography system in Canada.

The CR Mammography systems provide a cost-effective and user-friendly solution for moving from analog to digital mammography, Agfa HealthCare said. Systems such as the CR 85-X, for example, can be configured to support mixed use between mammography and general radiology for integrated digital mammography and general radiography work flows. Facilities also can use their existing analog X-ray modalities.
