FDA Questions Whether Avastin Benefits Breast Cancer Patients

The Food and Drug Administration said Monday that Genentech Inc.'s cancer drug Avastin didn't appear to extend overall survival of breast-cancer patients and will ask an outside panel of medical experts whether the drug should be approved as a breast-cancer treatment.
