Generex Biotechnology to Provide Diabetes Product to UAE

The United Arab Emirates’ (UAE) Ministry of Health Drugs Control Department has issued a nonobjection letter to the Imperial College London Diabetes Centre to import Generex Oral-lyn, an oral insulin spray product.

The London diabetes center and Generex’s Middle Eastern distributor, Leosons General Trading, filed the submission with the UAE Ministry of Health. Generex’s oral insulin product is approved in Ecuador and India, Generex said.

According to the International Diabetes Federation, the UAE has the second highest rate of diabetes in the world, affecting 20 percent of its residents.
