Hikma Donates to Global Fund

At the Global Fund regional meeting for the Middle East and North Africa, Hikma Pharmaceuticals pledged $500,000 to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria for establishing a “friends” organization in the Middle East.

Hikma Pharmaceuticals is a generic company based in the UK with a presence in the Middle East and northern Africa. The Global Fund coalition consists of a group of private companies, organizations and individuals working to fight AIDS, tuberculosis (TB) and malaria in this region.

The Global Fund has donated AIDS treatments for 1.4 million people and TB treatments for 3.3 million, according to the organization.
