Antigen Express Awarded Japanese Patent

Generex Biotechnology’s subsidiary Antigen Express has been awarded a Japanese patent strengthening its proprietary antigen presentation technology platform.

 

The patent covers methods for enhancing antigen-specific T helper cell stimulation using small synthetic peptides.

The most advanced vaccine protected by the patent is an immunotherapeutic in Phase II trials for breast cancer and a Phase I trial for prostate cancer.

Other vaccine peptides using the same technology are in a Phase I trial examining their ability to induce an immune response against the H5N1 avian influenza virus, Generex said.
