Positive Midterm Results Reported for Pulmonary Human Heart Valve

Midterm performance data for CryoLife’s CryoValve SG decellularized pulmonary human heart valve are promising, the company says.

In a study, 342 patients who received a CryoValve SG processed using the company’s SynerGraft technology were compared with 1,246 patients who received a conventionally processed CryoValve pulmonary heart valve.

Results showed a significant reduction in structural valve deterioration over five years for patients using the CryoValve SG as compared with patients using the standard valve.
