OneTouch Ping Glucose Management System Cleared by FDA
July 1, 2008
Animas received FDA clearance for its OneTouch Ping glucose management system.
The device is a full-feature insulin pump that wirelessly communicates with a blood glucose meter-remote. It allows a person to calculate insulin doses without touching the pump, Animas said.
The product is being co-developed by two Johnson & Johnson companies, Animas and LifeScan.
