Skin Cream Safe for Cancer Surgery Patients

Results of a study showed Xclair cream is safe and effective for the treatment and prevention of radiation dermatitis.

In the double-blind, randomized, vehicle-controlled clinical study, 40 women who received radiotherapy following breast cancer surgery were randomized to receive Xclair cream or a control cream.

Compared with the control group, patients treated with Xclair demonstrated improvements in skin toxicity, burning within the radiation field and shedding of outer skin layers, according to the company.
