NeoVista Takes on Genentech With Eye Surgery Device

A tiny Fremont company with a single eye surgery device in a late-stage trial has mighty Genentech Inc. in its sights. NeoVista says its device delivers focused beta radiation to leaking blood vessels that cause age-related macular degeneration, or AMD, the most common cause of blindness.
