GeneNews Rolls Out Blood Test for Colorectal Cancer Screening

GeneNews has launched ColonSentry, a molecular test for colorectal cancer screening.

The test requires a blood sample to measure the mRNA expression of seven specific genes at the molecular level. This provides an assessment of a patient’s current risk for colon cancer, GeneNews said.

The product is the first in a series of blood-based molecular tests from the company’s Sentinel Principle technology.
