TGA Sets One Date for Payment of Most Annual Fees

Recently passed legislation will allow companies to pay annual fees for most therapeutic products registered, listed or included in the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods on a uniform date. The new system — effective in the next fiscal year, which begins July 1, 2009 — will “provide administrative efficiencies to both the Therapeutic Goods Administration [TGA] and stakeholders” by allowing sponsors to pay all annual charges on a single date, the TGA says in a statement.
