Heartland Tanning Criticized for Complaint Reviews, Other Failures

Heartland Tanning drew a Form 483 for its complaint review procedures, GMPs, and other issues.

In a December 2016 inspection of its Lee’s Summit, Mo., facility, the inspector noted inadequate procedures for receiving and reviewing complaints. From January 2012 through December 2016, the company received about 10,700 complaints, but there were no procedures to ensure that they were handled in a timely and uniform manner.
