Court Stays Arthrex Injunction

The Federal Circuit Court of Appeals granted Arthrex’s request for a stay of an injunction, which was to become effective this week. A U.S. District Court judge in Portland, Ore., issued the injunction last June after a jury found Arthrex guilty of patent infringement. Arthrex appealed. Based on the merits of the appeal, the Federal Circuit last week granted the stay, permitting Arthrex to continue selling its Bio-SutureTak suture anchors until the appeal is settled, according to a company statement.
