FDA Approves AMO’s Cataract Lens

Advanced Medical Optics (AMO) received FDA approval for its Tecnis multifocal intraocular lens as a treatment for cataract patients. The lens is indicated for the visual correction of aphakia in adult patients with or without presbyopia who have had a cataractous lens removed. The product is intended to help improve vision for near, far and intermediate distances during the day or night, AMO says.
