Payment Disputes Cause Problems for Device Trials

Disputes over payment between sponsors, sites, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and third-party payers cause problems for device clinical trials, according to a new report from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. Confusion and disputes over who pays for what treatments have discouraged patient participation in several large-scale clinical trials.
