FTC Charges Foot Pad Marketers

The FTC has charged the marketers of Kinoki Foot Pads with deceptive advertising that included medical claims. Xacta 3000 and principals Yehuda Levin and Baruch Levin were charged with falsely claiming their devices could treat high blood pressure, depression, diabetes, arthritis and other medical conditions in TV and internet advertising. The FTC has asked the court to bar the defendants from making such marketing claims and to order them to compensate consumers, according to an FTC statement. The complaint was filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey Jan. 27.
