MedWaves Receives CE Marking for Ablation System

MedWaves was given CE Marking for its microwave coagulation/ablation system for surgical applications. The single-use devices and system allow clinicians to treat soft tissue problems, such as tumors, with microwave thermal ablation. The system provides patients with an alternative treatment to chemotherapy or radiation, the company said. The company has received FDA 510(k) clearance for the system.
