Survey Blames Founding Members for GHTF’s Limited Impact

Industry and regulatory groups blame the limited impact of the Global Harmonization Task Force (GHTF) on the perception that the founding members have been slow to adopt its guidance. The perceived reluctance of Australia, Canada, the EU, Japan and the U.S. to incorporate GHTF recommendations into their existing regulations for devices has contributed to the task force not being well known beyond the community of regulators and technical experts, according to a recent survey of industry and regulatory representatives.
