Obama Budget Includes Proposals for FOB Pathway, Treatment Research

Developers of follow-on biologics (FOBs) may be helped by a provision in President Barack Obama’s proposed budget that calls for the establishment of a pathway to approve generic versions of biologic drugs. Obama released details from the preliminary budget proposal Thursday that includes $76.8 billion in funding for HHS. The full budget is expected to be submitted to Congress in the spring.
