AcryMed Wound Gel Cleared

The FDA granted 510(k) clearance to AcryMed for its stabilized antimicrobial wound gel. The product contains antimicrobial silver in an amorphous gel and is intended to control the bioburden in wounds with minimal adverse tissue reactions. The gel has been cleared for OTC and prescription use, according to AcryMed, a subsidiary of I-Flow.
