Industry Welcomes Reports of Obama’s FDA Choice

Industry is reacting positively to President Barack Obama’s nomination of former New York City Health Commissioner Margaret Hamburg to be FDA commissioner and appointment of Baltimore Health Commissioner Joshua Sharfstein to be chief deputy commissioner. “Their records of leadership will help ensure FDA will continue to fulfill its vital mission of protecting and promoting the U.S. public health,” Stephen Ubl, president and CEO of industry association AdvaMed, says in a statement.
