FDA Collaborates With Alliance to Speed Nano Development

To speed the development of safe, effective medical products using nanotechnology, the FDA has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Alliance for NanoHealth and its eight member institutions. Through their joint nanotechnology initiative, the organizations intend to facilitate the development of tests and processes that could mitigate the risks associated with nanomaterials. They also will explore how nanoparticles behave and affect biologic systems.
