Watson OTC Plan B Contraceptive Wins Approval of FDA

Watson Laboratories has received FDA approval for the first generic version of Duramed Pharmaceuticals’ contraceptive Plan B OTC for females older than age 17. Watson’s generic Plan B (levonorgestrel) 0.75-mg tablets will be available to girls younger than age 17 by prescription, according to a statement. The company will market the product under the trade name Next Choice.
