New Risk Communication Plan Is in the Works at the FDA

The FDA will announce a risk communication plan in the next few months as part of its efforts toward swifter reactions to quality issues, FDA Deputy Commissioner Joshua Sharfstein said last week at the Parenteral Drug Association-FDA 2009 Joint Regulatory Conference. “Better risk communication is a top priority at the agency,” Sharfstein said. “When public health is at stake, the FDA stance is that you can explain to the public, or we will.”
