Experts: Lawmakers Need to Spark Innovation for Cardiac Devices

To advance innovation in the cardiac device sector, industry needs help from lawmakers, experts say. Creating an agency similar to the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency for cardiac and other devices could help spark innovation in the sector, Eric Rose, chairman of the Department of Health Policy at Mount Sinai Heart, said last month at an AdvaMed Cardiovascular Medical Technology briefing.
