Supreme Court Justices Ponder Process Versus Technology in Patent Case

Devicemakers are hoping that oral arguments heard by the U.S. Supreme Court in a patent case will encourage the court to overturn an appeals court decision that could make patents for certain products difficult or impossible to obtain. If the appellate decision stands, it would have an extreme adverse impact on the kinds of patents for which the device industry could file, AdvaMed says in an amicus brief it filed earlier this year with other parties.
