India Offers Guidance on Imports of Pharmaceuticals for R&D Use
December 2, 2009
Drugmakers seeking to import small
quantities of drugs into India should have their application signed by the head of the institution where the testing will be conducted or the director
of the company performing the tests, the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) says. A copy of a receipt indicating all fees have been paid,
as well as details of the quantities of the drugs and the batch manufacturing plan also should be included, according to guidelines recently posted on
CDSCO’s website.
